Cellphone thieves hold up and knock down woman

A woman was assaulted during a cellphone robbery in the Ingleside district Tuesday, police said.

The 23-year-old was near Harold and Bruce avenues about 10:15 p.m. when two young hoodlums snuck up behind her and grabbed the phone from her hands. She struggled with the pair, but was overpowered and knocked to the ground.

The two suspects reportedly fled in a gray SUV south on Harold Avenue.
