Caltrain pays tribute to MLK with 'Freedom Train' 

The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Association of Santa Clara Valley chartered Caltrain as its “Freedom Train” on Monday, for the 29th year in a row. The Freedom Train is symbolic of the distance traveled from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama by Dr. King and other civil rights marchers. Riders departed the train at 4th and Townsend and marched to a festival held at Yerba Buena Gardens.
