Longtime San Francisco Examiner readers may remember former staff writer Will Reisman's man-versus-Muni races, in which he explored every frustrated commuter's frequent thought: "Would it have been faster if I just walked home?" He barely lost to the F-Market, easily bested the 30-Stockton and may have tied with the 47-Van Ness.

Although he may have left us, Reisman hasn't stopped pitting himself against various modes of transportation. In his current gig at Caltrain, he'll combine biking and riding the commuter train on Bike to Work Day in a race against Christine Dunn, the public information officer for Caltrain, who will drive to work.

Dunn and Reisman will depart from the Union Square area at 7:30 a.m., and will compete to see who can reach the finish line -- Caltrain's San Carlos headquarters -- first.

If you're a fellow Caltrain commuter and would like to cheer Reisman on, he plans to be on Caltrain’s #220 train, which is scheduled to depart the San Francisco station at 7:44 a.m. and arrive in San Carlos at 8:13 a.m.

You will also be able to watch GoPro footage of his commute on Peninsula Moves!, Caltrain's blog.
