Business briefs: Bank of America & NASCAR 

Hoping to build on its newfound expertise in credit cards and on NASCAR fans’ loyalty, Bank of America Corp. (BAC) has begun offering affinity banking products linking checking accounts to the popular racing sport as well as to alumni associations, special interest groups and nonprofits. Other banks have similar products, but Bank of America also plans to offer special rates.

ORKIN PEST CONTROL

The federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has begun collaborating with Orkin and other pest control companies on efforts to control outbreaks of insect and vermin-related diseases. The company donates personnel and equipment for pest control in return for access to the latest scientific information, which it can pass along to its employees and customers.
