  • Break-beat and entering: A brassy burglar took a spin with a victim’s turntables.

A man's Sunset district residence was burgled by a brazen DJ early Saturday morning, police said.

The victim reportedly had people over, Sgt. Dennis Toomer said, and at some point after he had gone to sleep an unknown suspect entered his home.

The victim had left his security gate propped open with a brick and his front door was unlocked, police said. Between 2:30 and 8 a.m., the suspect entered through the front door and went into the bathroom. There, the suspect used and stole makeup.

While the victim was sleeping, the suspect entered his bedroom and stole cash.

Then, oddly enough, the suspect brought the victim's DJ table out into the living room and played with it before leaving the scene.

No arrest has been made and no information about the suspect was provided by the victim.
