Body discovered in North Beach was found at jewelry store 

Police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found at a North Beach jewelry store Tuesday night.

Cops discovered the body while conducting a well-being check at Lyn F. Magnuson Design Co.  at Mason and Lombard streets around 8 p.m. Magnuson lived and worked on the property, according to his web site.

Neighbors say they believe the death is suspicious.

It was not immediately known whether the body was found in the jewelry storeroom, workshop or in the living quarters.

The cause of death is unknown. The body has yet to be identified.

“There’s no indication that the jewelry store was robbed,” police spokesman Lt. Troy Dangerfield said Wednesday morning.
