Board of Equalization releases app for users to check tax information

These days, it seems there is an app for everything, including your taxes. The Board of Equalization has released a new mobile application that will allow users to access their tax information from their iPhone. The free Board of Equalization App for your iPhone is now available to download on Apple’s iTunes App Store.

This iPhone app is just another way for taxpayers to access their information quickly. Earlier this year, the BOE customized some of its current online services for mobile devices, such as smart phones. The versions can be found on the BOE Mobile Services page, located by clicking the cell phone icon on the BOE homepage under ‘Connect with Us’.

“This new iPhone mobile app is just one way the BOE is moving forward using information technology,” Chairwoman Betty T. Yee said. “Giving taxpayers easy access to the information they need is our commitment.”

The State of California website has a mobile application that also links to the BOE to find a BOE district office, validate an account number and access the California Tax Service Center.
