The U.S. men’s basketball team booked its expected place in the semifinals of the Olympic tournament on Wednesday, but were given a good game by Australia before Kobe Bryant put on a fourth-quarter show in a 119-86 win.

Bryant drilled four 3-pointers in succession to chants of “Ko-be! Ko-be!” as the Americans ran away from a fatigued Australian team that had given its all for 30 rousing minutes. Bryant finished with 20 points.

Former St. Mary’s star Patty Mills led Australia with 26 points.

The U.S. will meet Argentina in Friday’s semifinals
