The Bay Area’s one-stop transit fare celebrated a major milestone last week by going over 1 million customers.

The Clipper card, which is available on Muni, BART, Golden Gate Transit, AC Transit, Caltrain and SamTrans vehicles, is now being used by 1,000,606 Bay Area passengers, according to the Metropolitan Transportation Commission, the agency in charge of overseeing the media fare. The Clipper card is scheduled to one day be available at all two-dozen of the Bay Area’s transit agencies.

Clipper card usage has grown 30 percent in the last six months and 142 percent in the last year, the MTC said.
