The morning commute in the Bay Area got off to a rocky start Monday when both BART and Caltrain reported delays.
Caltrain service was slowed due to mechanical problems, spokeswoman Christine Dunn said. As of 7:45 a.m. Caltrain was reporting delays of up to 10 and 20 minutes, Dunn said.
BART was also behind schedule Monday morning. Trains headed from San Francisco to the East Bay were reportedly delayed by 10 to 15 minutes, a BART employee said. The employee did not have an estimate for when trains would be back on schedule.
