Ashton Kutcher deserves much of the credit for the rise of Twitter, but will his recent disparaging remarks about the social media behemoth now portend its undoing?
During the CTIA 2013 keynote, Fox reports, the actor talked about how excited he was for the new form of communication when it debuted. “It felt like the democratization of media,” he said. “It used to be a personalized experience that I could share.” So what happened?
“Noise,” he says, caused first by the horrid “retweet” option, which clogged up feeds, and then of course “a lot of people selling s*** that I don’t want.”
Still, Ashton says he rarely goes three days without tweeting. “In recent news there’s new news about the news,” he tweeted Friday.
