Marjorie Reitzell first complained of chest pains Monday, District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe said.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, her court appearances were postponed. Reitzell, who is being held on $2 million bail, has been charged with two counts of gross vehicular manslaughter and two counts of DUI causing injury in connection with Thursday’s collision, Wagstaffe said.
She is accused of fatally striking 45-year-old Kamal Singh and 50-year-old Balbir Singh from behind, throwing the couple into the air, according to Menlo Park police Cmdr. Dave Bertini.
Reitzell allegedly had a blood alcohol level that was twice the legal limit.
