This armed thug may have watched the film “Menace II Society” before robbing a man of his wallet and car in the Silver Terrace area Wednesday, police said.
The 25-year-old gunman hollered “Break yo’self!” before whipping out his handgun in the 300 block of Williams Avenue around 3:55 p.m.
The victim, a 28-year-old man, was about to enter his car - a two-door, silver 2000 Chevrolet Camaro - when the gunman approached.
The suspect rifled through the victim’s pockets. He drove off in the Camero and with the victim’s wallet, which contained cash and credit cars. The suspect even made off with the victim’s house keys, police said.
About 30 minutes after the heist, cops found the victim’s vehicle abandoned on a nearby street.
The victim was not injured. No arrest has been made.
The suspect was described as a black man in his mid 20s, 5-feet-9 and weighing 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black beanie, black hooded sweatshirt and black pants, police Sgt. Troy Dangerfield said.
