Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds are longtime pals — who just happen to have recently gone through divorces. So is anything going on between them, or are things purely platonic?
Well, if you believe OK!, the pair have finally acknowledged their chemistry. “For years, their friends have been telling them to get together,” an insider told the tabloid. “It was like everyone could see that they were crazy about each other except for them.”
The couple are said to have sparked a relationship that is kept behind closed doors both for privacy and because, per the insider, they’re just kind of boring. “They like to order takeout, watch a few favorite TV shows and chill out. They’ve got that in common: They’re both very down-to-earth people.”
Look, if you’re going to make up a vaguely scandalous story about two innocent friends, at least make it juicy!
Nick Jonas has a new girlfriend and she’s eight years older than he is. The 18-year-old boy bander is dating 26-year-old Australian actress Delta Goodrem, 26, and they appeared close in Los Cabos, Mexico, over Labor Day weekend.
Delta and Nick, who previously dated Miley Cyrus, were sighted holding hands in May, reports Us. That would be the month after she split with her 31-year-old fiance after seven years together.
Now, we’re fine with an eight-year age difference when you’re talking 20-somethings and up. But a 26-year-old dating an 18-year-old? A month after breaking off an engagement with a 31-year-old? Really?
It must be so stressful being a power player in the Hamptons — it almost makes you glad to be the sort of uncultured person who doesn’t use the word “summer” as a verb! After all, it’s such a small world in the tony New York beach community that even Christie Brinkley had to put up with a tense social situation on Saturday night in Sag Harbor.
The former supermodel was dining with daughter Alexa Ray Joel, from her first marriage to rocker Billy Joel, when ex-husband Peter Cook (you remember the mud-slinging from their divorce trial, don’tcha?) walked in, according to the New York Post. Making the situation even more cringe-worthy: Peter was with their young daughter Sailor and his new girlfriend.
“It was awkward,” a source said. “Christie seemed amused, and she and Alexa were looking over. Peter looked very uncomfortable. Later, Sailor went over to talk to her mother and sister, and Peter took his chance to leave without passing Christie, and snuck out through the back of the restaurant. But his girlfriend didn’t follow, and instead walked right past Christie’s table in a tight black dress. Christie deliberately didn’t notice, and just carried on talking to Sailor.”
Or maybe she was genuinely interested in communicating with her child rather than stirring up drama? (And should Peter’s girlfriend have changed into something frumpier before passing their table?)
