Another May shower brings delays of an hour

Keep an umbrella handy and check flights before traveling today.

The San Francisco International Airport is predicting delays of just over an hour across the board because the Federal Aviation Administration issued a ground delay program nationwide.

It means the numbers of flights that land at airports are limited, subsequently causing delays systemwide.

Airport Duty Manager Linda Perry said they’re expecting an average of 70 minute delays today.

And the National Weather Service is predicting it will start showering in the early afternoon.

Wednesday and Thursday might not stay dry either, with chances of lighter showers.

The Memorial Day weekend is expected to be dry, just not warm with temperatures in the 60s.
