Animal Control and Welfare Commission debates creation of animal abuser database

The Animal Control and Welfare Commission has been discussing whether to request that the Board of Supervisors create a database to track animal abusers so that they don’t end up adopting animals from city shelters and rescue groups.

The commission will hold a hearing with an update on the discussion.

Animal Control and Welfare Commission meets Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall in Room 408.
