Angry neighbor takes a swing at skateboarders

Skateboarders weren’t worried about cops on this afternoon.

One annoyed neighbor allegedly threatened to kill a group of skateboarders and attacked them with an aluminum bat last week for doing tricks near the steps of his home, the police said.

The enraged man “decided to take matters into his own hands,” cops said. The skateboarders claimed he attempted to crush their knees with the bat. They also said one swing of the bat hit a skateboard, then sprung up and hit one of skateboarder’s knees, cops said.

He also tossed one of the skateboards over a fence, the victims said.

Responding officers took the bat from the suspect. He was booked on assault charges and for threats against life, police said.
