Although they have their hands full with six kids, Angelina Jolie says she and partner Brad Pitt make “date nights” a priority.
“You have to make time when you are not Mom and Dad once in a while,” the actress explained to the U.K.’s Daily Mail. “I think for anybody who has kids, the most important thing is that you love your children, but you also have to stay focused on each other so that you stay strong. And you staying strong as a couple keeps the kids in an even better place.”
And the couple are indeed staying strong despite the constant tabloid speculation about their relationship.
“Really, all that stuff that goes on, it’s nothing to do with us,” Angie says. “We ignore it because it’s nonsense. We can laugh about things that are said about us because we’re OK.”
Her pairing with costar Johnny Depp in “The Tourist” led to inevitable tabloid speculation that they might have an on-set fling.
But Angelina says they clicked because they’re both “reclusive” family-minded people: “You appreciate the [acting] work, and when you are there you focus and give it your best, and then when it’s done you go home to your family. Your life is full off-set and you have this nice balance. Johnny is like that and I’m like that, too.” She notes that during filming, “we got together as families. Brad, [Johnny’s partner] Vanessa [Paradis] and all the kids; that was lovely. Just family stuff.”
Yeah, you know, just a typical play date near a film location in Venice. Family stuff!
Nasty allegations of abuse haven’t affected the romance between Britney Spears and beau Jason Trawick. In fact, the couple appeared to be as close as ever during a romantic getaway to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, over the weekend, celebrating the pop star’s 29th birthday — which was Dec. 2, the day they arrived.
“When they landed, she got to the [private] villa and was blown away,” a source told People. “Jason had arranged a red velvet cake for her birthday.”
During their getaway, “they suntanned and did a lot of relaxing and decompressing,” the source relayed. “They seemed very much in love.”
Britney’s team has said they plan to sue the media outlets that accused Jason of “beating on” her. Perhaps they’ll receive a settlement in time to pay for another vacation?
Although Eva Longoria is hitting the social scene, that doesn’t mean her broken heart has healed. The “Desperate Housewives” star, freshly split from husband Tony Parker, drank Champagne with a gaggle of 20 pals at Hollywood hot spot Chateau Marmont on Saturday night — but reportedly couldn’t keep up her happy front.
“She had a grin on her face, but every so often she would stare off into space and looked very sad and somber,” an observer recalled to Us.
The actress “wasn’t her feisty little self. If I could describe her energy in one word, I would say ‘defeated,’” the onlooker opined. “Eva was smiling and even laughing at times, but it was so apparent that underneath it all she was sad and hurt. It was very obvious.”
No doubt she appreciated being gawked at during this difficult time!
