Anderson Cooper has had enough from Star Jones and he’s not going to take it anymore. When asked if he felt any different after he came out in July, he replied, “The only thing that did kind of annoy me … Star Jones of all people,” said Anderson. Jones had accused Cooper of coming out in an effort to boost his ratings, because, you know, being gay is a huge draw in TV news.
“I seem to recall her hawking her wedding every single day to get free products when she was on ‘The View,’” he said. “And I seem to recall her lying about her gastric bypass surgery and making everybody else lie about it as well. So for her to suddenly emerge out of the shadows and suddenly attack me for this, I couldn’t believe it.”
Karma is a beaatch: Ashton Kutcher, star of MTV’s “Punk’d,” was himself the target of a prank, although this one didn’t involve him being threatened with a strip-search or being caught on a set of a porno.
Instead, Kutcher was “Swatted,” a trick where someone makes a distress call to your home and a SWAT team is called out. Hilarious.
Someone notified the police that she was holed up in a closet, hiding from an armed intruder at Kutcher’s address.
He wasn’t home when the cavalry arrived, but whoever else might have needed the cops at that time is probably beside themselves with laughter. Crazy kids!
If “relapse is part of recovery,” then Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino appears to be one recovering mofo. The GTLB (Gym/tan/laundry/booze) aficionado went into treatment in March, but he’s allegedly drinking again.
The US Weekly reports that the goombah was seen “downing so many cocktails that he could barely stand.” You can’t really fault the guy, since he basically makes his living by appearing in bars and acting like a doofus.
He’s actually a method actor in the great tradition of Stanislavski. (Just don’t ask him to spell it.)
