A woman was arrested last weekend for attacking an 83-year-old Russian woman who was waiting in a Tenderloin food line, police said.
On Sunday, police were called to a food line on Ellis Street on a report that the elderly woman had been held against a wall, hit, and threatened by another woman “who did not like Russians,” police said.
Several witnesses reportedly told officers there had been previous similar incidents involving the same suspect.
Police arrested the woman at her home nearby on charges of elder abuse, false imprisonment and hate crime. Her identity was not immediately available.
