Re: “Study: SF may need to build levee to protect Mission Bay from rising sea levels

Why not tap the HSR project. That's more money shoveled into the government furnace.

Pick your pyramid!

Re: “Study: SF may need to build levee to protect Mission Bay from rising sea levels

take the millions they would use to build the wall and build a de-salinization plant so we can solve our drought problems with the increase in sea water.. (wouldnt that also keep the sea level from rising?)

such dumbies

Sounds to me like developers are cooking up new ways to fill in the bay so they can continue developing at tax payers expence!

Re: “Study: SF may need to build levee to protect Mission Bay from rising sea levels

How much can this really be a problem, you know politicians they love big money projects that they farm out to friends and associates, just think how big a boondoogle a levee and sea wall would be.

This is going to get expensive and will be a Bay Area-wide problem. A tax levy now to set up a mitigation fund would be a good idea.

When I first glimpsed the picture I thought it was Steve Buscemi holding a slightly damaged / used chocolate covered , cream filled eclair .

Re: “Crews continue cleanup effort for fuel spill in Bay

Our waters are crap because of all these spills from ships. They should have to pay high fines for this

Re: “Protest planned in SF against state’s ‘broken’ judicial system

We all need to take action as the public who is paying these judicial officers to ENABLE child molesters and batterers. There is also a statistical link between domestic violence and child abuse. Domestic violence or sexual abuse has NOTHING to do with mental illness and has EVERYTHING to do with a pattern of control and abuse of ppwer. Judges need to be educated on domestic violence and child abuse , THey can NO LONGER turn their heads away !!!! ITS ON US as Joe BIden says.

Re: “Homeless man dies on busy San Francisco street corner while onlookers do nothing

Why didn't anybody help? Because seeing skells using dope, puking, defecating, urinating, bleeding etc. on the street is an everyday occurrence in S.F. Where are the S.F. cops when people like this are screaming to nobody in particular in the middle of the night, waking the whole neighborhood up? Where are the cops when there's trouble? Nowhere to be found. Skell screaming in your neighborhood and crapping all over you door stoop? That's not a crime in S.F. You're on your own, then. I don't blame people for not helping. Let this poor bastard die. There's one less on the street to cause trouble for the rest of us.

Please fix the typo in your link, Examiner. Otherwise it's broken, too. Below is the correct link.

Re: “Protest planned in SF against state’s ‘broken’ judicial system

It's broken because the people have been stripped of the ability and the right to defend themselves. Re-arm yourselves America; there is no hope in the 'justice' system.

Hopefully, he will learn what it feels like to be among the "1%" that he taxes the hell out of...ha. I'm also voting down every new tax that they will ever try to put on us. Bonds too.

Re: “Protest planned in SF against state’s ‘broken’ judicial system

My firend was taken to divorce court and cleaned out by his do-nothing ex.

Most of why he was cleaned out was because he worked hard and she was lazy.

Then she came back to the court to clean him out for more, and then a third time too.

Economists talk about the hard-working people, especially in tech, leaving the US. Rule of law has degraded here severely, to the point of being like a third world country.

Re: “Protest planned in SF against state’s ‘broken’ judicial system

As an innocent party who had no interest in any claim before the Court but was grossly wronged by Court officials, this protest needs to happen. The Family Law system in San Mateo County in broken and people need to answer for it. Abusers are allowed to still abuse, at the expense of children's lives and well beings. The effects of which can be felt throughout adulthood.

While generally I would agree that if your case was thrown out of Court or didn't go the way you wanted, you were probably wrong, or did something wrong, but that isn't always the case and people need to open their eyes and realize that there ARE victims of the Court system. I was one of them, and there's not a single thing I can do about it. Was I thrown in jail? No. Were my kids taken away from me? No. But I was 'allowed' to sit in the hands of my abuser for THREE YEARS until I was old enough to say NO myself.
