2 confirmed rabies cases in Mercer Co. this year 

Two cases of rabies have been confirmed in Mercer County so far in 2012.

Nine cases were reported in all of 2011.

WVVA-TV (http://bit.ly/A6rwrB ) says this year's cases are a skunk found in the Athens area and a raccoon found in the Mount Horeb Road of Princeton.

If left untreated, rabies can be fatal.
