2 charred bodies found after CA desert house fire

Authorities say the charred bodies of a man and woman were found in the aftermath of a house fire near Joshua Tree National Park.

The San Bernardino County coroner said in a news release that the Twentynine Palms Fire Department and sheriff's deputies responded to the fire early Monday morning, and about 90 minutes later found the two bodies as they searched through the ashes.

The cause is being investigated by sheriff's arson and bomb units.

The couples names were withheld pending notification of next of kin, and no other details were released.
